Most of us love (and hate) that the grass is always greener

It’s because we want it to actually be greener… and we want it bad. We want the culture to be better. We want there to be more money. We want the hours to be less. We want to be less stressed. We also hate this phrase because almost every single time it’s not greener. Dang. Fooled again.

In reality, we don’t actually make the move. Sometimes we’re too afraid to make the jump. So what we do is just dream about that greener grass. Make a mental move which yields us nothing. It would almost be better to make the jump, learn the lesson and move on. Or we could go ahead and ditch the illusion and get back to living.
