Enjoy the ride

I was reading a newsletter written by Richard Rohr from the Center of Action and Contemplation. He said, “We are, of course, in evolution all the time. To deny change and growth is to deny the obvious, yet humans seem good at that. The ride is the destination, and the goal is never clearly in sight. To stay on the ride, to trust the trajectory, to know it is moving, and moving somewhere always better, is just about the best way to describe religious faith.”

In a previous post I had written that the carousel needs to become an entirely different ride or we need to get off it completely.

However, once we’ve started on the ride it’s time to commit, trust and enjoy the journey we are on. It will require patience to allow the process to unfold and courage to not fall into old patterns simply because they are familiar.

How might we most enjoy the ride?
