I’ve finally realized that tax CPAs are really just tax farmers. There’s a harvest season and the only way to get the work done is to just get the work done.
Even if a farmer can’t change the harvest time each year, she can change how she accomplishes the work. She can suck it up and put in more hours on the combine… or she can hire a bunch of outside help. I wonder if there is a third way?
It takes more time and effort to stop and consider if there’s a third option… it’s easier to just keep driving the combine. After five, ten or twenty years of driving the combine it might finally push us to stop and dream up a third option.
There’s gotta be another way…
